How LekhaLens plans work: one financial year of statements

Shreekant, Co-Founder— · 1 min read

LekhaLens plans are built around the way Indian taxpayers actually file: one financial year at a time, with the return filed months after the year ends. Here is how a plan works.

A plan covers a financial year of statements

A Retail or Pro plan covers bank statements dated up to the end of one financial year — 31 March — and every year before it. A plan bought for FY 2026-27 covers statements dated up to 31 March 2027.

It does not switch off on a calendar date. FY 2026-27 returns are filed between April and July 2027, after the year has ended, so your plan keeps working through filing season: upload, classify and export your FY 2026-27 statements whenever you need to.

Earlier years are always included

Catching up on an older year, or a revised return? Statements for earlier years upload as normal on any paid plan.

When you need to renew

You only need to renew to upload statements from the next financial year — for a FY 2026-27 plan, statements dated from 1 April 2027 onwards. If you try, LekhaLens tells you exactly which dates fall outside your plan, and nothing is imported until you renew.

Renewal opens on 1 March, a month before the year ends, and stays open after that. Renewing adds the next financial year to your plan.
